Footee is delighted to announce the return of the Footgolf Irish Open for 2014 which will take place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September.
With up to €2,000 to be won in prizes and prize money and the chance to be crowned ‘Footgolf Irish Open Champion 2014′, it’s an opportunity not to be missed for all budding footgolfers around the country.
Format
This years Irish Open will comprise of 32 Teams of 2 drawn into 8 Groups of 4 teams. Round 1/Group Stage will be a round robin with the top 2 teams from each group qualifying for Round 2. The second round is a straight knock-out, along with the Quarter Finals & Semi Finals, before the deciding Grand Final where one team will be crowned the Footgolf Irish Open Champions 2014.
The competition will be a mix of Match Play & Stroke Play and Fourball (lowest score counted) & Foursome (alternate shots). Precise details of format will be announced closer to the date.
Order of Play (subject to change)
Round 1, Saturday 6th Sept: Kick-Off at 4pm
Round 2, Sunday 7th Sept: Kick-Off at 12 o’clock
Quarter Finals, Sunday 7th Sept: Kick-Off at 1:30pm
Semi Finals, Sunday 7th Sept: Kick-Off at 3pm
Grand Final, Sunday 7th Sept: Kick-Off at 5pm
Entry
Entry costs just €50 per team and can be paid online using paypal, over the phone using credit/debit card (0873952548), or up at the course. Payment guarantees entry to the competition but is limited to the first 32 teams. Payment is non-refundable.
Prizes
Based on 32 Teams, there will be a guaranteed top prize of €750 with the beaten finalists receiving €300. Third and Fourth place will receive €150 and €100 respectively. There will also be prizes for longest drive, eagles, goals in one, most birdies, best dressed, and best team name.
